Dubai Tourist Guide

Dubai is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE). It is located south of the Persian Gulf on the Arabian Peninsula and has the largest population with the second-largest land territory by area of all the emirates, after Abu Dhabi. Dubai and Abu Dhabi are the only two emirates to have veto power over critical matters of national importance in the country's legislature.

Today, Dubai has emerged as a global city and a business hub. Although Dubai's economy was built on the oil industry, currently the emirate's model of business, similar to that of Western countries, drives its economy, with the effect that its main revenues are now from tourism, real estate, and financial services. Dubai has recently attracted world attention through many innovative large construction projects and sports events.

Dynamic Tower

In Dubai, where the bills exceed and they could well raise buildings with them, a building of 80 floors will rise that will be first of the world in being able to change its form. That capacity must to that each floor can turn in 360 degrees, of independent way and at different speed around a central column. With 420 meters of height altogether, this tower will be constructed of modular way by hardly 80 technicians and will be able to produce its own energy, since between each floor 79 Aeolian turbines will be located.

The Dynamic Tower is work of the Italian architect David Fisher and will mean an investment of 700 million dollars. When this list by the end of 2010, you can buy one of the departments or offices of between 124 and 1,200 square meters among 3.7 and 36 million dollars. If it does not reach the money to you after that, you can spend days in the hotel located between floors 21 and 35. One second tower of 70 floors will be constructed in Moscow in case you prefer a less warm climate.

Easter in Dubai

A yearly Christian fiesta Easter is celebrated throughout the world with great zeal and passion. Christian mythology depicts the story of Easter to the times of Jesus when he resurrected from the dead. The festival is a favorite among the kids as they get to enjoy their much-loved activity of painting the eggs. Even in Dubai, there is a multitude of entertainment arranged by shopping malls and hotels to celebrate this grand festival. The Easter Holidays provide the perfect holiday break from the daily routine of work.
Tourists visiting Dubai during Easter will find bakeries, chocolate shops and food stores stocking in the Easter treats. Many five star hotels put their best foot forward to arrange an Easter brunch, which includes grilled delicacies plus hot and cold mezza. How could we forget the delightful restaurants who are so enthusiastic to present their brunch buffet and specialties; al fresco style with BBQ and carving stations? Traditional Eastern lunches are always best enjoyed at these elite restaurants.
As much as Easter is about tradition, kids are involved in every part of the festival making it more than important for hotels to pamper them ‘egg-eedingly’ well. They have a good time tasting international cuisine, egg painting competition, egg hunt party, face painting, special chicken farm, yummy treats and other fun things activities lined up for them.
Tourists who are away from home, get to experience the same grandness in Easter celebrations in Dubai.  Those who are planning to spend their Dubai Holidays during Easter, please note that this year Easter will be celebrated on April 24th.

Dubai

Dubai (Arabic: دبيّ‎ Dubayy English pronunciation: /duːˈbaɪ/ doo-BY) is one of the seven emirates of the United Arab Emirates (UAE).
The earliest recorded mention of Dubai is in 1095, and the earliest settlement known as Dubai town dates from 1799. Dubai was formally established in the early 19th century by the Al Abu Falasa clan of Bani Yas, and it remained under clan control when the United Kingdom assumed the protection of Dubai in 1892. Its geographical location made it an important trading hub and by the beginning of the 20th century, it was an important port. In 1966, the year oil was discovered, Dubai and the emirate of Qatar set up a new monetary unit to replace the Gulf Rupee. The oil economy led to a massive influx of foreign workers, quickly expanding the city by 300% and bringing in international oil interests. The modern emirate of Dubai was created after the UK left the area in 1971. At this time Dubai, together with Abu Dhabi and four other emirates, formed the United Arab Emirates. The following year Ras al Khaimah joined the federation while Qatar andBahrain chose to remain independent nations. In 1973, the monetary union with Qatar was dissolved and the UAE Dirham introduced throughout the UAE. A free trade zone was built around the Jebel Ali port in 1979, allowing foreign companies unrestricted import of labour and export capital. The Gulf War of 1990 had a negative financial effect on the city, as depositors withdrew their money and traders withdrew their trade, but subsequently the city recovered in a changing political climate and thrived.
This increased attention has highlighted labour rights and human rights issues concerning its largely South Asian workforce. Dubai's property market experienced a major deterioration in 2008 and 2009 as a result of the worldwide economic downturn following the Financial crisis of 2007–2010.
